11:01En primer lugar quería explicaros que ya que el blog no es mi trabajo, tampoco es una obligación. De ahí mi ausencia durante todo el verano. Casi acabado el verano y sobretodo, las benditas vacaciones he decidido volver y punto.
Ahora sí, empecemos: septiembre es sinónimo de vuelta a la normalidad, vuelta a la rutina, vuelta al trabajo, vuelta al cole... pues de eso va el post de hoy, de libros, y más concretamente, sin poder ser de otra manera, de libros de moda.
First of all I wanted to explain to all of you that this blog isn't my job, so it isn't an obligation. That's why I've been missing the whole summer. Now with an almost ended summer and blessed holidays I just decided to come back, that's it.
And now yes, let's start: September is synonym of back to normality, back to the routine, back to work, back to school... is that what I'm talking about, books, and more concretely, fashion books.
It is said that comparisons are odious, but it is impossible not to compare two books that talk about Parisian fashion, written in Paris and by Parisian writers. Let's go in order. I start with 'La Parisienne' by Ines de la Fressange as it was the first one I read two summers ago. The Parisienne gives most of the tricks you need to know to dress like a lady of Paris, it has a super fun illustrations and photos of Sophie Gachet looks totally flawless and a list of the best places for shopping around Paris.
The other book that I wanted to recommend is 'How to be Parisienne wherever you are' written by Caroline de Maigret, Sophie Mas, Anne Berest and Audrey Diwan and read by me last summer. This book is written in a much more arrogant, more chic, more Parisian way, and that is the way of life that encourage us to have the writers of this wonderful book that also give advice on "the noble pledge".
El libro que os voy a recomendar a continuación está escrito por el mismísimo Christian Dior, por eso creo que es un básico en la estantería de toda chica que diga estar interesada en la moda. Titulado 'The little dictionary of fashion', el libro del diseñador es eso, un diccionario que enumera todas la prendas esenciales y necesarias para ser una mujer elegante.
The book that I will recommend below is written by Christian Dior himself, so I think it's a basic on the shelf of every girl who claims to be interested in fashion. Entitled 'The little dictionary of fashion', the designer book is that, a dictionary that lists all the essential and necessary pledges to be an elegant woman.
'The fashion book', cuyo autor desconozco, para mi es más un libro de inspiración que una guía de estilo como pueden ser las anteriores. Este libro va enumerando alfabéticamente las mayores influencias en el mundo de la moda: desde editores de revistas, pasando por diseñadores, por fotógrafos y modelos. Es un libro realmente interesante si no se sabe demasiado sobre antiguas y verdaderas influencias de la moda.
'The fashion book', whose author I ignore, for me is more an inspirational book than a style guide such as the above ones. This book is an alphabetical listing of the major influences in the world of fashion: from magazine editors, to designers, photographers and models. It is a really interesting book if you don't know much about former and true influences of fashion.

Se dice que las comparaciones son odiosas, pero es imposible no comparar dos libros que van sobre moda parisina, escrito en París y por escritoras parisinas. Vayamos por orden. Empiezo con 'La Parisina' de Ines de la Fressange ya que fue el primero que me leí hace dos veranos. La Parisina da la mayoría de los trucos que se necesitan saber para vestir como una señorita de París, tiene unas ilustraciones super divertidas y fotos de looks de Sophie Gachet totalmente impecables y una lista de los mejores lugares para ir de compras de todo París.
El otro libro que os quería recomendar es 'Cómo ser Parisina estés donde estés' escrito por Caroline de Maigret, Sophie Mas, Anne Berest y Audrey Diwan y leído por mi el verano pasado.
